Dear Family and Friends,
Mid-winter greetings to you! I want to start by thanking those of you who’ve been asking about my cleansing fast. It went really well! I lost 18 pounds in January, by eating lots of veggies and fruits. Amy juiced carrots for me every day, and that was a special blessing. I feel great!
IS THERE ROOM IN YOUR SUITCASE??!!!
Last year, we received an invitation to teach at Youth With A Mission’s headquarters on the big island (Kona) in their Discipleship Training School. As it turns out, they only have budget for one, and it would have been difficult for us to leave our children anyway. So I will fly tomorrow to teach the in-depth discipleship course, Self-Confrontation. This is a highly strategic DTS, with students coming from 13 different nations. Please pray for the students to have their lives impacted as they learn how to be victorious in all areas of life using God’s Word. Upon my return, Carol plans to join me in Dallas for the . . .
NATIONAL RELIGIOUS BROADCASTERS CONVENTION
On Feb. 12th, Mercy Ships is hosting a special reception for Christian radio
broadcasters. Just last
month, we reported that 275 stations were broadcasting the Mercy Minute daily.
Well, now it has
now exploded to 583 stations -- truly remarkable! The reception should be lots of fun – we are
decorating the ballroom in a nautical theme with large scale models of our
ships, anchors, life jackets strewn around the room, live goldfish as table
decorations, big blow-up photos of compassionate action shots for the walls,
etc. What a privilege to be able to host several hundred radio station
managers and talk to them about airing the Mercy Minute on their radio stations.
Please pray that many will decide to air the Mercy Minute.
May God richly bless you!
